The cotton card can be used a wicking, rolled and placed in an oil lamp to extend the casting of the spell. The paint used being watercolor, the sigil itself can be dissolved into water. You can then mix it directly into a non-potable potion. If you wish to keep it safe and not destroy the sigil, make sure to seal it like you would any other watercolor painting.
